125th Anniversary Celebration
In November 2004 we celebrated 125 years! We honored our
50+ members, had past pastors attend and enjoyed food, fun & fellowship.
Missions
We are also very involved in Missions. Some of the Missions we give to are:
Red Bird, Global Partnership La Esperanza, Habitat for Humanity, Food
Pantry, Ogden Friendship House, Adopt-a-Family Christmas tree tags, My
Friends House, Operation Christmas Child.
United Methodist Women
We have two women’s groups that meet once a month September through May.
Dorcas/Ruth group meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 2:00 p.m.
Lydia group meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 8:00 p.m.
During the year they do many things such as:
- UMW Sunday where they are in charge of the worship service.
- Guest Night
- Bake Sale
- Mother/Daughter Salad Supper
We have a new group of ladies that have started meeting called M&M's
(Methodist Moms) These are our younger ladies of the church. They have
had Bible Studies, cleaned the nursery, served Breakfast Fellowship, & gotten
together and made meals for a M&M member that is fighting cancer. We
look forward to watching this group grow!
Chancel Choir
We are blessed to have a wonderful group of singers. During the summer
months individual choir members share their musical talents with us. The
rest of the year the group meets on Wednesday evenings to practice. They
share their music with us during worship on Sunday. Once in a while they
bless us with extra’s like a Christmas Cantata and/or Easter Cantata or doing
a musical with the children of the church.
We have a new mens group called M.O.B. (Men On BBQ) They have started
meeting one Sunday evening a month. They have a potluck supper then
continue with Fellowship.
